Creating Miracles!!
Do you believe in Miracles? Well I do! Infact, I have created so many miracles, I am determined to help others do the same. By definition a miracle is an extremely outstanding or unusual event. As a Hypnotist, I often find that we choose to use hypnosis or self-hypnosis only as a last resort. After we have tried everything else. By then, we need "a miracle" So creating one, if not for my self is essential for my clients. Even if we don't call it that!
I have been noticing and identifying the circumstances necessary and find that it is important do develop a mindset that helps eliminate doubt and fear, even if only temporarily to let the miracel come in. So come and allow your mind to be immersed in the information and insights to create this miracle mindset. Ofcourse we will also experience a wonderful restful, rejuvenating group hypnosis to focus on your miracle! So bring your heart's desire and lets get the magic going!

Notes from previous classes
May 2010
So we focused on our energy in this class, because energy follows thought helping us to manifest in our life! As our energy is encouraged to flow through our body it helps us to feel vital, alive, robust and excited about our lives again. One of the important concepts we covered was this idea that in addition to digesting our food, our body has to digest our thoughts. And some of these thoughts are difficult to digest, we even speak of them as "hard to swallow". So be aware of your thoughts. Do your best to keep yourself from thinking those thoughts that you "can't stomach" The reason they feel that way is because they do not reflect the true you. If they did, you could swallow them "hook line and sinker"!

One of the great tools that we learned in this class was sooo simple and quick. Actually, I am sure you “know” this already, you just may not know that you know!! It is how you turn your brain off!
Yes that’s right: turn it off. Why would you want to turn it off? So it doesn’t overheat. You know when it is over-heating because you feel overwhelmed, confused or like there is too much negativity around you!
The answer is the proverbial “eye roll” Yes, you have probably have seen children, especially teenagers do this. It is a natural reaction to their overwhelment or hearing something they do not want to hear, which of course is most of what we have to say to them!
So next time you recognize you are overwhelmed or in a negative situation, just roll your eyes up. Hold your head still and with your eyes only, look up as high as you can, as if you were looking up through the top of your head. Hold your eyes up until you feel eye strain in those muscles and then, close your eyelids down and let your eyes relax.
It actually causes your reticular activation system of the brain to shut down and that is soothing to you!
After a couple deep breaths your brain is “reset” and ready to go!!

Power of Intention
This idea of intending in every moment is such a powerful one! So often we just go through out our day from one event to the next with out really intending anything in particular and as we do our life can unfold willy nilly and not seem to make much sense. We loose the understanding of our power to create because we are not focused on it. When we choose in every segment of our life this power becomes more evident, more real and we are less likely to get caught up in other peoples desires and plans. An example I shared was that as I am getting into my vehicle to drive somewhere, I think about what I want on this drive "to arrive on time, to be safe, to drive with the courteous drivers, to enjoy the time spent" and the more I choose this intention as I get into my car (rather than thinking about the myriad of things I have to do once I get to my destination) I find my self much less likely to get caught in bad traffic and my journey goes well. We have so many opportunities through out our day to think specifically about what we want! Go through your day intending things to go well for you!!! You have more influence than you think!
February 2010
Wow!! I had so much fun with this topic. It was a sharing of my latest work of how to take our negetivity and turn it positive. Because everything is Energy and when we have put something negative out there, it usually has a big charge to it. So as we claim it back and make it ours we can reuse that same energy and turn it into something positive for ourselves. I gave lots of examples of my life that were all very recent, since I have really been focusing on this lately. One of the participants got back to me with: "wow I have been turning my negativity into positive like flipping pancakes" This can be so much fun when we let it be!
Jan 2010
So at our last Interactive Discourse we discussed this idea of a wellness inside you like a well spring if you will and I got so many wonderful comments about the visualization I offered the group I want to share it here for all to benefit from.
So imagine to the best of your ability that there, inside you is a well. There you are at this well inside you and you are bringing the water up from deeeeeeep inside you. Do your best to lean down into the well, feel it against your body, take the bucket and send it down, or hear it as you crank it down, hear it splash against the water deep down there, smell the smells of the well, taste the refreshing water as you rejuvenate and supply all your cells with that fresh water, refreshing and soothing every system, every cell of your body. Just close your eyes for a moment now. It only takes a moment to send this replenishing message to your body and mind, through your mind.
Hope you enjoy it !!
There was one powerful question from this Discourse that I wanted to share the answer to. I love this question because once you get the answer to this you are on your way toward becoming a powerful creator of your life.
The question was: Everyone has an opinion on how to do things and how can I listen to them and not react negatively?
This happens to all of us. Doesn’t it? Some of these opinions are something we can agree with or that we think we can benefit from. It is easy to listen and react positively then.
Many times, however the opinion is one that we cannot agree with and makes us feel bad or even angry. A part of us wants to say something like: “No! that is ridiculous” or “I could never do that” or something else argumentative. Which just leads us into a negative spiral!
However if we can begin to recognize that this person is just offering a solution from their perspective, something they think will help, something that would work for them. When we can just realize that what works for them, may not work for us, we can respond to their intention to help, rather than judging the actual idea. Now we are in control.
So now that I have this realization, I say in response to any opinion offered (even one I do NOT want to hear about!)
“Thank you! You always have my best interests at heart!” (and I let my self think silently “that is ridiculous” or better yet, “that is not on my path” with out judging them or their idea!) And that FEELS so much better!
And this is the important part: that step to becoming the powerful creator I am talking about. I began to realize that when I can stay positive and respond in a way that feels good to me, even when it is a crappy opinion, I am in control. Being in control is a powerful step in creating the life you want.
So use that powerful positive response instead next time: “Thank you for that, you always have an idea for me!” (even when the opinion feels bad) It will empower you to know you can choose to feel good even in a negative situation. See how good it makes you feel! That is empowerment!! That’s what I want for you!
Notes from previous discourse
So our July interactive discourse was very well attended and we had so many powerful questions. There was one from a pre-med student which allowed me to share some of the work I love the most. So I wanted to share it with you too!
The question was: So just what is so important about thinking positive?
From the neurological research I sited from Candace Pert and her research staff, we understand that the cells of our nervous system evolve as they move up our spinal cord. So that those cells that are up in the top of our nervous system in our frontal cortex, our executive part of our brain, are predominantly covered in receptors that respond to endorphins and positive chemicals and neurotransmitters.
This means that in the part of our mind that helps us plan our life, get ideas, insights, new ideas and ways the cells there have almost NO receptors that respond to neuropeptides that are formed when we think negative thoughts such as worry or doubt or fear. So in order for that part of our mind to function, we need to be thinking more positively and creating the positive nueropeptides that the executive center of our brain can use to assist us. With out them, the cells simply do not fire! And Candace says “It is like we are hard-wired to think positive”
Isn’t that just what we notice in our lives, when we try to accomplish something but we are angry that we have to do it? And we spin around and around with out getting anything accomplished. We even notice how we can’t accomplish anything. Sometimes even the simplest of chores cannot be completed. So I as I really began to understand this I refused to stay in that negative place. Because I realize I am always planning something or wanting to figure something out or seeking to improve something in my life. And I offer the same to you, let your mind have the chemistry it needs to solve all of life’s dilemmas! I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.
Please consider coming to our next class with Your questions! All the details are attached. It is on Thursday August 20 in Palatine from 7-9 pm. I always include a relaxing hypnotic experience at the end which most say is worth the entire cost!
And you can always bring a friend for free. Pre-registration is required as I only have 20 seats available.
If you ever read the Aspectarian Magazine, you will find an interview with me in the current August issue you may enjoy!
And finally I am off to Massachusetts to present my work to those who are seeking this information from around the country, so I am very excited!
Notes from June Discourse
At our Interactive Discourse in June the topic of worry came up. This is a mind issue that I have an intention of wiping out. I believe it is a big issue in creating unwanted things in our life. So I want you to have the information I shared at class, even though you were not able to attend. I hope it benefits you in your life as it has me in mine!!!
Worry is thinking about something that may never happen. It is playing movies in our mind of what could go wrong, or how bad it can get. Do you realize that 90% of what we worry about never happens? (This has been researched by Dale Carnegie, Martin Seligman PhD and Deepak Chopra MD.)
And yet as we worry about it happening, we create the negative chemistry that affects our body and mind. If we were not worried about it and it never happened (as it would be in 90% of the cases) we would spare our bodies and minds this unnecessary negativity.
One of the worst features about worry, is the way it destroys our ability to concentrate and find a solution or way out of the dilemma. When we worry our mind jumps here and there and everywhere; like we are on some sort of amphetamine and we lose all power of decision. We cannot figure out what to do. We are confused. The chemistry that we create is actually inhibiting our ability to think clearly and we cannot get any ideas. We begin to ask ourselves the wrong questions…
What if I can’t make my car payment? What if I can’t find the money?
What if I can’t pay my rent? What if I end up as a street person?
This load of worry about tomorrow; added to the load of worry from yesterday: and then carried today: is the weight of the world on our shoulders. So we need to lighten up! As the worry lifts, we begin to be able to think clearly.
One of the most effective techniques I have used with worry is the one we discussed in class and so I want to be sure you have it. It was developed by Willis Carter, the brilliant engineer who launched the air conditioning industry and founder of Carrier Corporation, the air conditioning company. He offered 3 steps when we are worried about something.
- Identify what is the worst thing that could happen.
- Accept that it could happen
- Begin to plan for what you will do when it happens.
Now this may seem a bit negative on the surface. (Identify the worst that could happen) But, when we force ourselves to face the worst and accept that it could happen mentally, we eliminate all those vague imaginings and those movies we put ourselves through. We put ourselves in a position of less confusion. In the acceptance of the worst that could happen, we begin to make peace with it. And in the chemistry of those emotions toward peace, rather than worry, we can focus and think of ideas, insights, ways to deal that were not available in the worry. So give it a go and let me know what you think.
And if you still like thinking about this kind of information, join me Wednesday, July 22 7-9 pm in Palatine when we will cover other important topics for living well! Please share this information with your email friends, it could help them in their lives too and I would love to have them come to a class!
Notes from May Interactive Discourse
Well our May interactive discourse was quite a treat! We stayed a little late; there was so much to talk about
A couple of attendees mentioned their success with prayer. Praying the Rosary and regular prayer were mentioned. We discussed, from a hypnotist’s perspective and the workings of the mind, how we might explain that. This is not to diminish prayer, just to help those who have not used prayer to understand how it works for those that do.
Prayers can be likened to positive affirmations. In prayer we say the same words over and over like a mantra. Mantra is composed of two verbs in Sanskrit; mananam which means repeating or turning over in one’s mind and tranam which means to protect. So it becomes something you repeat to protect the mind. You might say, “protect the mind from what?” Protecting it from worry, from fear of thinking the worst might happen.
When we have a big problem and we are not sure of our way out, it can be very powerful to use our mind in this way. You can focus on these positive words, to lift your mood, to help you to line up with an answer rather than the problem.
Mine are usually brief, grounded in thoughts of appreciation and along the lines of:
Dear ____________( fill in the blank with any of the following that feel right for you: God, Jesus, Buddha, St Theresa, Universe, Mother Nature, Source Energy, Subconscious Mind, Wise Mind, Inner Intelligence, Inner Wisdom).
Thank you for all that you have assisted me with in my life already.
(I go into details of some things that have worked out well for me)
I appreciate it sincerely and have another matter that I know you can help me with.
(I mention the problem here and why I want it rectified, why it is important to me)
I bring it seeking your input, your guidance, for the best outcome for all in this matter.
Thank you in advance and I move forward, knowing your answer is on the way.
Feel free to use it for yourself and see what you think!
